Prepare before you disconnect

  1. Visit the ShakePop landing page and open the game while connected.
  2. Let the game finish loading so its service worker can save the offline assets.
  3. Open the game again in the same browser and check that it starts before relying on it offline.

An initial online load is required. Opening this guide alone does not download the game. Your browser can remove cached site data, so check again before a trip where you will depend on offline access.

Add an icon on iPhone or iPad

Open the game in Safari. Open the Share menu and choose Add to Home Screen, then confirm Add. If you followed a link inside another app, open it in Safari first. Menu placement can vary with your browser and operating-system version.

Install on Android or desktop

Open the game and look in the browser menu or address bar for an install or Add to Home Screen option. Availability and wording depend on the browser. If no option appears, you can keep playing in a normal browser tab and bookmark the game.

What works offline?

Normal gameplay uses the saved game assets and local browser state. Account sign-in, online leaderboards, and starting a Weekly Challenge require a connection. Do not assume an offline score has been accepted into an online competition simply because it is visible locally.

Keep your progress and game copy

Use the same browser profile for your saved game. Private browsing, clearing site data, or moving to another browser can remove or separate local progress. Installing an icon is not a backup of your saved data.

When an update is available, use the game’s update controls while connected. If offline launch fails, reconnect and load the game fully again. Avoid clearing browser data as a first troubleshooting step if you want to preserve your progress.

Once you are ready, the rules guide and strategy examples explain the game. These guides are online resources and are not included in the offline game download.
